Objective and Target Group

Evaluation is a standard tool used for programme- and project management in a broad variety of fields, particularly in development cooperation. Methods of empirical social research are used to gather the required information on programme performance and impacts and make assessments based on verifiable criteria for decision making on measures to enhance social betterment.

The distance learning programme is aimed at professionals and executives in the area of evaluation, at professionals who work on evaluation tasks in organisations, administration or ministries and as independent or self-employed consultants.

Teaching-Learning-Format

The teaching-learning-format consists of comprehensive, scientifically sound and practice-oriented self-study materials that have been developed by experts especially for distance learning, an online campus as an interactive learning platform and on-campus phases to consolidate the knowledge that is acquired through self-study in theory and practice.

Mandatory on campus phases take place in the first and third semester for one week in Saarbrücken.
